The C-TEC Addressable Heat Detector is a versatile and intelligent device engineered for use with C-TEC’s XFP and ZFP CAST protocol addressable fire alarm panels. Offering programmable detection modes—including A1R (rate of rise), A2 (64°C fixed), and B (76°C fixed)—this detector is ideal for a wide range of commercial and industrial fire safety applications. The unit is LPCB certified to EN54-5 & EN54-17 and Kiwa Telefication certified to EN54-13, ensuring compliance with stringent European safety standards.

This detector combines advanced features such as dual ultra-bright red LED strips for 360° visibility, a built-in short-circuit loop isolator, and programmable sensitivity profiles for day/night or occupied/unoccupied modes. It is fully compatible with the CA408 CAST base, which includes an integrated locking mechanism and ID tagging.

Programmable Multi-Mode Heat Detection

Can be configured for three operational classes:

• Mode 1 – A1R: Rate of Rise and fixed threshold at 56°C
• Mode 2 – A2: Fixed temperature at 62°C
• Mode 3 – B: Fixed temperature at 74°C
  This allows tailored protection based on environmental risk.

CAST Protocol Compatibility

Fully integrates with C-TEC’s XFP and ZFP CAST addressable systems, providing robust, reliable communication and programmable response settings.

Built-In Short Circuit Isolator

Each detector includes an onboard isolator to maintain loop integrity during fault conditions, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the system.

Ultra-Bright LED Indicators

Two 8mm x 2mm red LED strips provide 360° visual indication when in alarm mode. An optional remote LED indicator can also be connected.

Programmable Day/Night Sensitivity

Sensitivity settings can be altered based on occupancy or time of day, allowing optimal fire detection with minimal false alarms.

Compact and Durable Construction

Constructed from white polycarbonate with UL94 V-2 flame rating, the detector is both robust and visually discreet.

Simple Installation and Maintenance

Quick-fit CA408 base ensures secure installation and simplified service access. The locking mechanism prevents unauthorized removal.
