Compared to the earlier RB751G-2HnD, this model features a 600 MHz CPU (up from 400 MHz) and 128 MB of RAM (up from 64 MB), delivering better performance for routing, firewall, and network services.

A USB 2.0 Type A port provides support for additional peripherals, such as 3G/4G USB modems or external storage, and includes USB power reset functionality for flexibility in network deployment.
