Reliable and expandable power backup
The SMX1500XLRT2U features an internal, hot-swappable battery that delivers up to 13.6 minutes of runtime at 675W (50% load) and 4.9 minutes at full load (1350W). For extended runtime needs, it supports external battery packs such as the Tripp Lite BP36V15-2U (sold separately), ideal for mission-critical environments requiring continuous power during prolonged outages.

Advanced remote management (optional)
Compatible with the WEBCARDLX network interface (sold separately), this UPS can be remotely monitored and controlled via Tripp Lite’s PowerAlert Device Manager (PADM20) and PowerAlert Element Manager (PAEM). Features include firmware management, device configuration backup, automated reboot via Auto Probe, and advanced monitoring dashboards.

8 C13 outlets with surge protection and load management
All eight outlets offer surge protection and battery backup, while two independently switchable outlet pairs support scheduled or real-time remote rebooting and load shedding. This setup provides essential flexibility for managing connected systems and conserving battery during outages.

Universal power input with multiple cordsets
The IEC-320 C14 input accepts a variety of cordsets to accommodate global power standards. Included are two C13-to-C14 power cords and one C13-to-Australian plug cord, allowing deployment in diverse environments.

Automatic voltage regulation (AVR)
AVR continuously corrects input voltages from as low as 158V to as high as 278V, restoring a stable 230V output without engaging the battery. This protects equipment from performance issues and long-term degradation caused by power fluctuations.

Interactive LCD and silenceable alarm
A front-facing LCD screen displays real-time data such as input/output voltage, battery charge, load level, and runtime estimates. The screen rotates for visibility in both rack and tower setups. An audible alarm alerts users to critical events, which can be silenced via the built-in control.

Comprehensive communication ports
The UPS includes HID-compliant USB, RS-232, and EPO (emergency power off) ports. These allow automatic safe shutdowns through Tripp Lite’s PowerAlert® software (free download) and enable emergency shutdown integration in larger power environments. All necessary cables are included.

Flexible rack or tower installation
